These rules cover vehicles parked at homes and along streets in Fredville neighborhoods:
- A vehicle may be parked in a front, side or back yard only when it sits on a paved surface of concrete or asphalt.
- Oversized vehicles, meaning those heavier than 1.5 tons, wider than 8 feet or longer than 16 feet, may not be parked in residential areas.
- A vehicle may not be left standing or parked unattended on a public street for more than 48 hours in a row.
- Never block a sidewalk with a vehicle. Sidewalks are part of the public right-of-way, and city ordinance bans stopping, standing or parking on them.
Common Parking Violations
The violations officers see most often include vehicles parked across a sidewalk and vehicles parked on an unpaved yard.
