Fredville Emergency Management Mission
Emergency Management builds the framework that helps Fredville lower its exposure to hazards and respond when disaster strikes. The office keeps a hazard vulnerability assessment and emergency action plan, an all-hazards operations plan with a set of functional annexes, and a multi-year training and exercise schedule, and it administers a range of state and federal homeland security grants.
The city has also invested in a modern outdoor warning siren network. The solar-powered sirens can be triggered the moment dangerous conditions develop, and their sound reaches nearly every part of the city. Emergency Management staff have also joined and coordinated deployments across the state to help other Texas communities in times of crisis.
