On Saturday, May 2, 2026, Fredville voters approved all three propositions in the 2026 bond election. Together they authorize $244 million for streets, public safety and parks, built over about seven years.
| Proposition | What it pays for | Amount | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Proposition A | Streets, sidewalks and drainage | $148 million | Approved, 64% |
| Proposition B | Two fire stations, a Fire Training Center expansion and the emergency radio system | $61.5 million | Approved, 71% |
| Proposition C | Trails, a recreation center renovation, lake access and park upgrades | $34.5 million | Approved, 58% |
| Total | $244 million |
What it costs a homeowner
The city estimates the program adds about $3 a month to the city tax bill on a $300,000 home once all bonds are sold. Bonds are sold in stages as projects are ready, so the full amount is not borrowed at once.
Timeline
- Fall 2026: design starts on the first street and fire station projects.
- Spring 2027: first construction bids.
- 2027 to 2033: construction, phased by proposition.
