History
Fredville built its first permanent fire station on West Main Street in 1952. Station 1 started out modestly, yet it has remained the center of the department ever since. The station was rebuilt in 2016 at a new site close to the original one.
Today Station 1 houses an engine company, a truck company, a mobile intensive care unit and an air truck. It is also home base for the department's high-angle and confined-space rescue team.
