Any business that sells, distributes or stores alcoholic beverages in Fredville, including intoxicating liquor and malt liquor, must hold a city Alcohol Permit, which is issued by Health and Environment. The same rule covers anyone operating a private club, as that term is defined in the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code.
State (TABC) Permit
Start by applying for the correct permit from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC).
The TABC office that serves the county can explain which state permit you need and how to apply. Office locations and phone numbers are listed on the TABC's website.
Step 1: Health Permit
Once your TABC application is filed, request a Health Permit from Health and Environment.
Bring a printed Health Permit Application (PDF, 263 KB) to the department's office at 100 Civic Center Drive, 2nd Floor, Fredville, TX 75999. If you have questions about applying, call (555) 010-1261.
Step 2: Certificate of Occupancy
New businesses, and existing businesses that change owners, must also file a Certificate of Occupancy application online with the Building Inspections Division. Details are on the Certificate of Occupancy page.
