Lead in Drinking Water

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has updated its Lead and Copper Rule to do more to keep lead out of the water communities drink. Among the new requirements, every water utility in the country must complete an inventory of its service lines.

The City of Fredville remains committed to delivering clean, safe, lead-free drinking water. Building this inventory protects public health and lowers the chance that lead from household plumbing fittings and fixtures makes its way into your tap water.
