Report fraud

Fraud investigators set the procedures and manuals used to look into applicants and current participants who are suspected of breaking Housing Quality Standards or program rules.

They carry out investigations, collect evidence and present their findings at termination hearings. Common cases involve drug-related or violent crime, people living in a unit without approval, income that was not reported and other violations of program standards. To report suspected fraud, email [email protected] or call (555) 010-6395.

Complaints about an apartment, landlord, hotel or motel

To report a problem with an apartment community, a landlord, a hotel or a motel, fill out the city's online complaint form.

Housing discrimination

The federal Fair Housing Act makes it illegal to discriminate in housing because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or disability. Familial status protects households with children under 18 who live with a parent or legal guardian, as well as pregnant women and anyone in the process of gaining custody of a child under 18.

If you believe you were treated unfairly in housing, you have several ways to get help.
