Through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, the City of Fredville sets aside public services money for qualified nonprofit organizations. These grants pay for programs that serve Fredville residents with low to moderate household incomes, and CDBG dollars can support many kinds of eligible housing and community development work.
Funding Categories
Every applying agency must place its request in one of these categories:
- Services for people experiencing homelessness
- Physical health and mental health services
- Programs for youth and seniors
- Other community development needs not tied to housing
Eligible Activities
Public services funds can cover activities such as counseling, child care, education, case management and homelessness prevention, and other uses may qualify as well. Each project must also meet HUD eligibility rules and fit the priorities in the City of Fredville's Consolidated Plan.
