Retirees enrolled in the City of Fredville medical plan, along with their covered family members, can use the added programs below at little or no cost.
Telehealth Visits
A telehealth provider offered through the city's medical plan administrator lets you see a doctor or therapist by phone or video, either on demand or by appointment. Covered non-emergency services include online primary care, urgent care, skin care (dermatology), psychiatry and counseling. You pay nothing for these visits.
Surgery Concierge Benefit
For certain planned procedures, a surgery concierge benefit pairs you with a dedicated care advocate and connects you to a network of high-quality surgeons and facilities. The services tied to your surgery are combined into one bundled payment, which makes the experience more personal and lowers costs, often to little or nothing out of pocket.
Chronic Condition Coaching
A chronic condition coaching program offers personalized online support for diabetes, high blood pressure, behavioral health and weight management. Members receive connected health devices, one-on-one coaching from experts and digital tools that work together to help them get healthier. The program is free to you.
Virtual Physical Therapy
A virtual physical therapy program uses a smartphone app to treat aches and pain in the back, joints and muscles. You get an exercise plan built for you, plus guidance from licensed physical therapists and health coaches, at no cost.
Pain and Injury Treatment
A rapid-recovery soft tissue treatment program provides non-surgical care aimed at resolving pain and soft tissue injuries, usually in three or four visits. Appointments are offered in person or online. If you are on the high-deductible health plan (HDHP), visits count toward your deductible and coinsurance. If you are on the copay plan, each visit costs a $25 copay.
