FREDVILLE, Texas (October 2026) – With prices still climbing on everything from groceries to hardware, Fredville residents have a way to save money on home projects: the city's Tool Sharing Program.
Instead of buying a ladder, drill or hedge trimmer for a job they will do once or twice a year, residents can borrow one at no charge. The shared collection covers common household, yard and repair tools, and borrowers simply bring each item back when the loan period ends.
How It Works
- The program is open to Fredville residents with a current library card.
- Most tools can be checked out for up to one week.
- Borrowing is free; late or damaged items may carry a replacement charge.
Sharing tools also cuts down on clutter and keeps rarely used equipment out of the landfill, so neighbors save money while helping the environment.
