A video produced by the City of Fredville's Communications and Marketing department, "Names We Carry," has been nominated for a regional Emmy award.
This marks the department's second Emmy nomination in two years. In 2025, the team took home a regional Emmy for its "Amor FV" video series celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
About the Video
The nominated segment features Crestline Remembrance, a Memorial Day display of American flags that honors fallen service members and first responders. Volunteers from the Honor Line Foundation, a nonprofit that supports veterans, attach the name and service record of one honoree to each flagpole.
On a partly cloudy afternoon in May, the city's video crew interviewed Nolan Ellison, the foundation's CEO, among the rows of flags. Ellison said remembering the fallen is a duty the community owes them, because they gave everything so others could enjoy the lives they have today.
"Telling the stories of the heroes our community has lost is a privilege we take seriously," said Casey Yarrow, assistant director of Communications and Marketing for Fredville. "Recognition is nice, but what really matters is honoring their service and the Honor Line Foundation's ongoing work for veterans and for the families of the fallen."
