The City of Fredville has collected two international awards from a worldwide association that supports the professionals who plan and produce festivals and events.
Downtown Street Fest Takes Top Honors for Social Media
The festival's social media channels earned one of the association's top digital media honors.
The honor recognizes the festival's lively online presence and the effort it takes to keep residents and visitors connected to one of Fredville's best-loved community traditions.
Photos, videos, event updates and behind-the-scenes peeks on the festival's social media accounts help build anticipation for the yearly celebration.
Every year, Downtown Street Fest fills three days with carnival rides, live performances, food, arts and crafts vendors, family activities and more. This year's festival runs October 23 through 25 in downtown Fredville.

Nature Club Recognized for Educational Programming
Nature Club, a program of Parks, Arts and Recreation, earned the City an award for educational programming.
The club invites participants to explore the outdoors through hands-on learning about nature and conservation. Every month brings a new theme, and past sessions have covered fishing, geology and many other corners of the natural world.
A Showcase of Local Programming
Taken together, the two awards highlight the wide range of programs Fredville Parks, Arts and Recreation offers.
They are also a credit to the City's staff, volunteers and community partners, whose behind-the-scenes work creates lasting memories for the people who live in and visit Fredville.
