Drop-Off Locations
From December 26, 2025, through January 11, 2026, you can recycle your natural Christmas tree at either of these sites:
- The big-box home furnishings store, 1450 Showroom Way: residential trees only; commercial trees are not accepted
- Fredville Landfill, 2750 Ashcombe Boulevard: residential and commercial trees
Preparing Your Tree
Take off all ornaments, tree stands and plastic bags before you drop off your tree. Artificial trees, and real trees that have been flocked with fake snow, cannot be recycled. Trees that are accepted are ground into mulch, and any Fredville resident can pick up mulch at the landfill for free.
Curbside Option
You may also put your tree at the curb on your regular garbage day. Keep in mind that curbside trees go out with the trash and are not turned into mulch.
