Park Board

Each month, the Park Board meets to advise the City Council on how Fredville's parks, parkways, lakes, waterways, public squares and other city grounds are managed, maintained and beautified. When the board concludes that private land should be acquired for park use, it can also help start condemnation proceedings.

Everyone appointed to the Park Board serves on the Tree Board as well. The Tree Board meets at least once a year and oversees a plan for caring for, protecting, planting and removing trees and shrubs found in parks, on street rights-of-way and in other public spaces.

Membership

The board has nine members. The Mayor and each council member appoint one.
