Fences built along commercial subdivisions must be installed and kept up in line with the Unified Development Code, the International Property Maintenance Code and the Fredville Code of Ordinances. Every commercial fence needs a permit approved by the Building Inspections Division.
Step 1: Gather What You Need
To be issued a commercial subdivision fence permit, provide:
- The project address and its legal description
- Contact details for the owner, contractor and architect, as applicable
- How the property will be used, its square footage and the area of work
- The class of work, a description of it, the project valuation and the property's market value
- A site plan showing:
- The property line
- Existing easements
- Where the subdivision fence will go
- Fence specifications, such as height and materials
Step 2: Submit Your Application Online
Submit your application through the city's online permit portal. If this is your first time using the portal, you will need a working email address to register, and setting up the account takes only about five minutes.
After You Apply
Most applications are reviewed within 5 to 10 business days. If reviewers ask you for corrections or more information, approval may take longer.
