Every fireworks or pyrotechnics display in Fredville needs an approved permit and an inspection from the Fire Prevention Division.
Step 1. Check the Requirements
Before a Pyrotechnics Fire Permit can be issued, you will need to provide:
- A basic site sketch that clearly marks:
- the launch area
- where the audience will be
- A pyrotechnic license issued by the Texas State Fire Marshal's Office
- A certificate of liability insurance in the amount the State Fire Marshal's Office requires (at least $1,000,000)
- The project address and legal description
- Contact details for the owner, contractor and/or architect
- How the space will be used, plus the square footage and area affected
- The class of work, a description, the job valuation and the market value of the property
Step 2. Set Up an Account and Apply
Permit applications are submitted through the city's online permitting portal. First-time users create an account using a working email address, which takes roughly five minutes.
Step 3. After You Apply
Once your application is in, staff will schedule an inspection. Review generally takes about 10 business days, though it can run longer if the applicant needs to make changes or send more information.
