How can I pay?
While setting up your account, you can save a credit card, a debit card or a prepaid card.
Rides booked with a saved card are charged to that card once the trip is over.
Riders paying cash must have exact change. Drivers do not take tips.
How do I request a ride?
Use the mobile app or call (555) 010-2276. Booking takes just seconds, and a vehicle usually arrives within minutes.
Can I schedule a ride ahead of time?
No. FredRide works on demand, so request your ride only a few minutes before you plan to leave.
Why do I need to walk to a pickup spot?
Rides are shared, so the vehicle may stop to pick up or drop off other passengers during your trip.
To keep everyone moving quickly, the app may ask you to meet the vehicle at a nearby corner rather than at your exact address. That lets the driver get every rider where they are going without detours.
Can I get a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV)?
Yes. Just request a WAV in the app or when you call.
Is FredRide replacing the Fred Connection?
No. The city's Fred Connection bus service, which serves older adults and residents with disabilities, will keep running alongside FredRide.
