Warrant Information

What the City Marshal (Warrant) Division Does

If you have been told that a Fredville citation has gone into warrant status, take care of it right away so you are not at risk of arrest. City marshals actively look for people with outstanding warrants, and you could be taken into custody. Warrants are logged in a statewide database, can be enforced anywhere in Texas and can be seen by every peace officer.

You may hire a lawyer to handle the matter for you, or you may come to the Fredville Municipal Court yourself during regular business hours and ask how to clear the warrant. Questions can go to the Marshal Division at (555) 010-7241.

Ways to Resolve a Warrant

These are the options people use most often to clear a warrant:

  • Paying the whole fine
  • Asking for a time payment plan, which requires a down payment
  • Posting a surety bond or cash escrow bond and asking for a new court date
  • Hiring a bail bond company

Other Marshal Duties

Besides serving warrants, city marshals keep the Municipal Court secure, act as bailiffs, transport prisoners and deliver legal papers.

The Warrant Clerical Section issues and processes every warrant that comes out of the Municipal Court and keeps track of where each one stands.

Look up a ticket or warrant with the citation and warrant search.
