Recycling weeks
Week A neighborhoods put recycling out on odd-numbered weeks of the year. Week B neighborhoods put it out on even-numbered weeks. The city calendar marks every A and B week.
Cart rules
- Carts out by 7 a.m. on your day, no earlier than 8 p.m. the night before.
- Lid closed, handle facing the house, 3 feet from other carts, mailboxes and cars.
- Carts back off the curb by 7 a.m. the day after pickup.
- Extra bags next to the cart are not collected. Request a second trash cart for $6.25 a month.
Holidays
Collection does not run on these city holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When a holiday falls on a weekday, every pickup from that day through Friday moves one day later. Friday routes move to Saturday.
Missed pickup
If your cart was out by 7 a.m. and was missed, report it by 5 p.m. the next business day online or through Fredville 311 at (555) 010-0311. Crews return within one business day.
