Fredville water customers can help a neighbor keep the tap running. Add as little as $1 to your monthly water bill, and your gift will go to households that are struggling to pay for water service.
Every donation is placed in a dedicated city account and used only to help qualifying households with their water payments, once per year. Residents who have fallen behind on a water bill may ask Fredville United Charities (FVUC) for this annual assistance. Right now the fund runs on about $12,000 in donations each year, which is enough to help roughly 120 households. The need in our community is far larger, and your support makes a difference.
FVUC was founded in 1961 to respond to emergencies faced by Fredville residents going through a financial setback. The organization believes that stepping in quickly with emergency help can stop a hard time from turning into a crisis, so that individuals and families are not left without housing, food or utilities. FVUC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and gifts to it are tax deductible.
