Emergency Repair

About the Program

Emergency Repair helps homeowners with low or moderate incomes fix sudden problems in their homes. A repair qualifies when the problem happened without warning and puts the health or safety of the person applying at risk.

Who Can Apply

  • You must own the home and live in it.
  • You cannot have received help from the City through any of its housing programs in the past.
  • Your household's yearly income must be no more than 50% of the area median income, as published by HUD.

How It Works

Each emergency repair is capped at $4,500, and the Division Manager must approve it. City staff inspect every request to confirm that the problem truly came up without warning.
