- Lid closed, handle facing the house, 3 feet from other carts, mailboxes and cars.
- Carts back off the curb by 7 a.m. the day after pickup.
- Extra bags next to the cart are not collected. Request a second trash cart for $6.25 a month.
What goes where
- Trash cart (green lid): household garbage in tied bags.
- Recycling cart (blue lid): clean paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and tubs #1, #2 and #5, cans and glass bottles. No plastic bags, hoses, cords or food.
- Never in any cart: paint, oil, batteries, electronics, pool chemicals or medical sharps. Take them to a household hazardous waste day.
Holidays
Collection does not run on these city holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When a holiday falls on a weekday, every pickup from that day through Friday moves one day later. Friday routes move to Saturday.
