Park and Ride

Fredville's park and ride lot sits along the eastbound side of the interstate, a short distance east of Kestrel Line Road. Its roughly 300 parking spaces are free, so commuters can meet up, share a ride and leave their vehicles parked for the workday.

Carpools leaving the lot can get straight onto the interstate's high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes.

The facility was built through a partnership of the Texas Department of Transportation, the regional transportation planning council and the City of Fredville. The city also added a decorative mural to the facility's retaining wall.

The regional council of governments offers more background on the facility and on other commuting options around the region.
