215 W. Main St., Fredville, TX 75999
Harvest Square is a downtown park of less than an acre. Its centerpiece is an open-air market hall with covered bays where vendors can sell produce and other goods. A pavilion on one side makes room for more market vendors, while shade structures, benches, landscaping and a paved plaza give performers a place for outdoor shows.
A water tower on the corner serves as a landmark that guides visitors to the square.
A preservation architect designed this city facility, and Ridgeway Builders constructed it. The Fredville Sports Facilities Development Corporation put $300,000 toward the project's $950,000 cost. Work started in spring 2009, and the square held its opening celebration in October 2009.
The Fredville Farmers Market sets up here on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., spring through December.
