Water Quality Reports

Where Our Drinking Water Comes From

Fredville buys most of its drinking water wholesale from a large regional water utility, and a second regional supplier serves part of the north side of the city.

In most summers, hot weather pushes demand high enough that the city also runs its own groundwater wells. Each well generally supplies homes and businesses within one to two miles of it.

These suppliers draw from several reservoirs and rivers across North Texas. A map of the sources is available from the department.

Annual Water Quality Reports

Every public water system must publish a yearly report describing the quality of the drinking water it delivers. This requirement comes from the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), together with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Known as Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs), these reports have to reach customers by July 1 of the year after the one they cover. Each report below is a PDF.
