The Clear Skies Pledge invites Fredville residents, students and workers to commit to everyday choices that cut ozone-forming pollution, especially during the warm-weather ozone season.
Ways to Keep Your Pledge
- Carpool, ride transit, bike or walk when you can, and bundle errands into one trip.
- Skip idling and keep your vehicle tuned, with tires properly inflated.
- Fill up after dark and stop pumping at the click.
- Choose electric lawn tools, or mow later in the day on ozone action days.
- Ask your employer about working from home or flexible hours.
Businesses can go further with the Clear Skies Business Challenge, and the Air Quality page explains how ozone affects North Texas.
