Tax Increment Financing TIFS Board

Fredville's Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts pay for needed public infrastructure and encourage private investment that brings in new tax revenue for every local taxing entity. The districts support commercial projects such as shops, offices, hotels and residential development.

The TIF Board of Directors advises the City Council, the governing body that created each zone, on how the zone is run. By ordinance or resolution, the council may let the board use any of the city's powers to administer, manage or operate the zone or to carry out the zone's project plan.
